Who's Calling Peta?

When you love a pet and it dies you want it to be buried with dignity... right?!  Well the fine people at the Albuquerque Rio Grand Zoo must think other wise.    On March 23rd the beloved giraffe Kashka died.  The animal had fallen, broken her leg and after a week of trying to getting her back on her feet was put down.  Proper parodical is to have someone from the landfill come pick up the animal and dispose of it in a special area at the landfill not finding it in a dumpster outside of the zoo chopped up.  The 2,000 pound 15 foot 16 year old animal was dispersed into a trash cans out in the back of the zoo awaiting to be picked up and taken to the landfill.  When the trash collector came to get the trash he noticed that there was something not right with what was normally in the trash.  He called his supervisor.  The sad thing is not that a beloved animal at the zoo was dismembered the saddest thing is that this is not the first time this has happened.  The same non-identified worker had done almost a similar thing with a sea lion years go.

You would think that if you hacked up a animal you would get fired, but hey, thats just me.
