I was going to Elko for a job and had just acquired this album and had a bunch of other songs on my iPod as well but these eight songs were the only ones I heard the whole eight hour trip in the car. As a debut album goes this is a magnificent piece of art that is a breathe of fresh to me. I say this because none of the chord progressions are typical and the arrange of musical instruments you here is something you just don't hear anymore. I might be going track by track on this one since I really like this one...
So let's just dive right in to this one..

"1 in 10" is the next one and one of my favorite tracks on this record. The incorporation of all the guitar/piano and of course Cameron's voice just makes this track something you can deficiently groove on.
"Battles" is next and once again something you don't see coming. The smooth electric and acoustic guitars that fill your cerebellum make this track a repeater for sure.
"Speak Out In The Blue" has a ukulele in it and this makes me smile. It makes me think of Hawaii and the sound of the surf on the beach. This is for sure another chill song that will make you happy at anytime of the day or night.
"56th Story" is the next one and is my favorite track on the album. There is something about this song that gets me every time and I have not found out what it is yet. Its just a beautiful song and I think that it show's Cameron's ability to do many genres which many artists can not due.
"Dirty Conversation" is the next tune on the record and one again is a keeper. I think this song really showcases Cameron's voice from going high and low with no problem. And the beat is rather fun to dance around too.
"Salt Lake City" is the next one and I love it for oh so many reasons. I love how so many things in this song are subtitle, but as I hail for Salt Lake City, I can see where he is coming from when he talks about people on Prozac.
"Mausoleum" is the last song on the album and it feels like Cameron has been reading alot of Mexican history for this one. I love the sound of the spanish guitar and the lyrics on this one alot.
Summation: This is the first 5/5 i have given and its because it is a record that made me think of the kind of music that should be coming out and not the same stereotypical tunes that keep coming out.
If you are on Facebook add him as a friend : Cameron Rafati, he will actually write you back! If you don't have his album get it on iTunes, Amazon or at his website www.cameronrafati.com
