BYU Studies show that playing video games with daughter from the ages of 11-16 have shown that there behavior is better but in boy's not so much. Playing co-op on games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band and one of my old favorites, Mario Cart make it more enjoyable to play. "It's a daddy- daughter thing" says Padilla-Walker says. The reasons that it didn't come across with boys so much is because they spend more time out with friends, but this is the same lady who two years ago said that if you play too many games you develop poor family/friend relationships, which i say B.S. on since I have friends that I play with and communicate with via headset (yes, I am a dork) and its awesome times. "Any face to face interaction with your kids is always a good thing, but its even better when you are both enjoying what you are doing" Padilla-Walker said.
I am glad that I still love to game, this gives me a reason to keep it up for the net 9 years so when my daughter turns 11 I can get pwned and feel good about what is going on!
