Tuesdays Tunes

This week I am going to review Train's new record Save Me San Francisco.

I have liked Train since 1998 and I think they are good because they have tried almost everything musically under the sun and some people, like me, are not alway happy with there progression. I still think there self titled album "Train" is there most amazing record and I think if you like this record, Save Me San Francisco you will really enjoy there first release.  So go pick it up at Best Buy or iTunes, you will not be disappointed..

So this album really goes back to the train I love, I mean My Private Nation and Drop's Of Jupiter were good too but really, this one has made me a fan all over again and made me fall back in love with a band I had almost forgotten about.  Let's get into it..

There is alot of acoustic guitar on this record and that's how I remember Train.  First and foremost "Hey, Soul Sister" which is by far is the most catchy song I have heard I a very, very long time might be the best song Train has put out since there debut song "Meet Virginia"  The Mandolin is super catchy and I bet your the very first time you hear/heard it you could not stop smiling.  "Words" is another song that I can not get enough of.  Yet again another song that has acoustic guitar in it but the words are just so beautiful and meaningful.  Maybe that's why he named the song "Words" eh?!?  They pulled a Phil Collins over on me with the starting of "Breakfast In Bed", it sounds alot like "In The Air Tonight"   The last song I will touch on is the last song "Marry Me"  Patrick Monahan voice is something that will get stuck in your head and no fork, knife or pry bar will get it out.

Summation: This is a hard thing for me to do and not give a 5/5 but 4/5 will have to do since I am not totally gaga over all the songs.  If you don't have this record get it or you will be missing out.
